_Achala Book World:
_
Jacqueline Kennedy said “There are many little ways to enlarge a child's world. Love of books is the best of all.”
In a bid to introduce the children studying in Government Schools to the wonderful world of books, we introduced a new scheme called Co-curriculum. Under this concept we introduced an English Library in each of the schools where Pygmalion Vanasuma was running. Children’s books and animated VCD’s were provided to each school. We sourced the books from the leading book stores and gave it away to schools.
After a year, when we spoke to the teachers and the students about this scheme, the teachers gave the following feedback:
About 20 different titles have already been written and are being illustrated.
Walt Disney says, “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island.”
Our intention is to expose the children to this “treasure” through this endeavour.
The first three publications:
- Neetivanta Huli
- Hamsa, Kage and
- Maavina Hannina Kathe
have been published and are available at Achalabharathi Office and Amazon.in.
The books were released at a function organised by Masti Adhyayana Peetha, in which our Chairman, Prof.A.R.Mitra was felicitated. Noted scholar Prof.T.V.Venkatachala Shastry, Nadoja S.R. Ramaswamy,
Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh and Prof.A.R.Mitra were present.
The books have been well received by the public.
Please do buy the books for your family and friends. You can also buy some books and donate them to children in Government Schools.

- The standard of English was very high.
- The children were not able to follow and enjoy the content easily.
- The stories were also alien(some of them were foreign publications)
